Detailed overview

One of the most popular and revered gods in the Hindu pantheon is undoubtedly Lord Ganesha. And while there are temples dedicated to him in almost every city and the villages of Maharashtra and even other states, the Ashtavinayakas holds special importance for the devout.

Ashtavinayak literally means ‘Eight Ganesha’ in Sanskrit. Ashtavinayak tour from Pune covers eight holy temples of Ganpati, which are Ozar, Lenyadri, Theur, Ranjangaon, Siddhatek, Morgaon, Pali and Mahad. All the temples are Swayambhu (self-originated) and Jagrut. The Ashtavinayakas are Vighnahar, Girijatmaj, Chintamani, Siddhatek, Mahaganpati, Mayureshwar, Varadvinayak and Ballaleshwar.

 

Itinerary 

Day 1:

• Start your journey early in the morning from Mumbai hotel or residence, please mention pickup location while booking. We are covering Ashtavinayak Ganpati Darshan in our tour.

• Morgaon Temple Mayureshwar Temple: This is the first temple on the Ashtavinayak circuit and is located in Morgaon. It is approximately a 3-hour drive from Mumbai. Seek blessings at this temple and enjoy the serene surroundings.

• Siddhatek Temple: Proceed to Siddhatek, which is around a 2-hour drive from Morgaon. Visit the Siddhatek Temple, dedicated to Lord Siddhivinayak. Spend some time exploring the temple premises and offering your prayers.

• Ranjangaon Temple: After Siddhatek, travel to Ranjangaon, which is about a 2-hour drive away. The temple here is known as Mahaganapati Temple. Seek blessings at this temple and immerse yourself in the spiritual atmosphere.

• Stay in Pune: Head to Pune, which is approximately a 1.5-hour drive from Ranjangaon. Check into your hotel and relax for the night.

Day 2:

• Early in the morning after breakfast we wil start our tour with remaining temples darshan.
  
  
• Theur Temple: Begin your second day with a visit to Theur, which is around a 1-hour drive from Pune. The temple here is called Chintamani Temple. Explore the temple complex and offer your prayers.
  
  
• Lenyadri Temple: Proceed to Lenyadri, which is about a 2-hour drive from Theur. The temple here, also known as Girijatmaj Temple, is situated on a hill and requires a short trek to reach. Enjoy the scenic views during the trek and seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha.
  
  
• Ozar Temple: After Lenyadri, drive for approximately 2 hours to reach Ozar. The temple here is called Vighneswar Temple. Visit the temple and pay your respects to Lord Ganesha.
  
  
• Mahad Temple: From Ozar, travel to Mahad, which is about a 2-hour drive away. The temple in Mahad is known as Varadvinayak Temple. Seek blessings at this temple and experience the spiritual ambiance.
  
  
• Return to Mumbai: After visiting the Mahad Temple, you can return to Mumbai, which is approximately a 3-hour drive away. The tour concludes upon your arrival in Mumbai.
