About Torsa Strict Nature Reserve

The Toorsa Reserve covers an extensive area of about six hundred square kilometer, occupying majority of the Haa District. It shares international borders with Tibet and Sikkim and is connected to the Jigme Singye National Park via a biological corridor.

It is covered by sprawling Alpine meadows, temperate forests and warm broadleaved woods. Adding to the allure is the lake of Sinchulungpan which lends an enchanting touch.

It is the only place in Bhutan to not be inhabited by civilization.
