About Bumthang Brewery
To enjoy some chilled beer, visit this place called Bumthang brewery. The brewery along with a cheese shop was founded by a migrant from Switzerland named Fritz Maurer, but now it’s mainly run by his son. The beer and cheese produced here is all made of pure and local products. It is actually micro brewed beer. The main attraction of this brewery is an unfiltered preservative- free drink known widely as “Red Panda Beer”. The preparation of the Red Panda is usually in an old fashioned way and is done by a very less number of people in the process of cooking, cooling and fermentation. You will be amazed to know that only 3000 bottles are produced per month and then it is recycled. Just pay four dollar and you can take the bottle of your own choice. Not only this, you can also take a small tour of this brewery.
