About Jama Masjid, Meerut
Built in 1019, the Jama Masjid is a Mosque. It was built by the Sultan Mahmud Ghaznavi’s chief minister. This is considered to be the 1st Muslim mosque in North India. Close to this is the Maqbara of Ghazi Sayyad Salar Masud, a statue to the Muslim saint and soldier.
