About Gandamadana Parvatham
Nearly 3 km north of Ramanathaswamy Temple, lies the Island’s highest point termed as “Gandhamathana Parvatham”. The Gandhamathana Temple is most renowned worship center for the people of Southern India. This temple is a two-storeyed hall. Tourists can see a Chakram (Wheel) which has the imprints of Rama’s foot. The temple is not-to-miss sight in Rameswaram. Many people all over India visit this temple which has great historical and religious importance.
