Thalassery is a tiny coastal town nearby Malabar Coast. Tourists will be enticed by the Thalassery Beach. One should visit the Thalassery Fort which was established by British when they landed in Malabar. Massive walls on square stone base, secret tunnel leading to sea, intricately carved wooden door etc makes you feel that you are living in British Era.
Thalassery is located 21 Km from Kannur is famous for the cakes since the British times. Cricket and circus are associated to this place as Collin Cowdry played cricket on the fields of Thalassery cricket ground and many circuses operating in India originated from here . Other places of interest are Thalassery fort, Catholic rosary church and Wellesley’s Bunglow attracts many travelers. Thalassery has a drive in beach named Muzhapilangad beach which attracts many to this picturesque spot.
