About Nandanvan & Tapovan
Nandanvan & Tapovan is a very challenging trek. 6kms from the Gangotri, opposite to Gangotri glacier, Nandanvan offers breath taking views of peaks like Shivaling, Bhagirathi, Kedar Dome, Thalay Sagar and Sudarshana. The trek route from Nandanvan passes through rocky terrains finally leading to the lush green meadows of Tapovan.
This trek is really hard and one needs to acclimatize before beginning this. Not acclimatizing properly may be fatal.
