About Dhoni Waterfalls, Palakkad
Dhoni waterfall is located in Dhoni hills near Palakkad. This area is a reserve forest and the surroundings make visiting this small waterfall a nice experience. The water from these waterfalls flow into Malampuzha dam. It is a 3 hour trek from Dhoni Hills base to reach the reserve forest area. One the trek wildlife is easily sighted. Animals like, elephants, tigers, king cobras, etc. inhabit the forest, though the trek path is considered safe. One also needs to get permission of the forest officer to undertake this trek. Also, you can take a guide along with you.
