Pataleshwar Cave Temple is carved out of rock and dedicated to the Hindu Lord Shiva, this temple cave complex is a protected government heritage site. Carved out in the 8th century in the Rashtrakuta period, the cave is made up of a rather impressive circular pagoda type building, surrounded on all sides by carved basalt caves. Its location makes it a favorite spot for lunch-time eaters looking to shelter out of the summer sun.
