Kasargod is the biggest town near Bekal and the transport hub of the region. It’s well connected by rail and road to other parts of India and Kerala. If you come at the right time, you may see festivals such as Onam, Vishu and Malik DeenarUroos celebrated here. The town’s major industry is shipbuilding.
Kasargode is famous for Malik Deenar Mosque, Theruvatthu Mosque, Ananthapura temple, Madhur temple, Mallikkarjuna Temple and the Central Plantation Crops Research Institute. The Bekal fort is a picturesque attraction with Sea at the south of the fort.
