Inaugurated in 1904 under the directorship of Sir David Temple, the Central Research Institute or CRI was originally named the Pasteur Institute of India. It’s here that the first worldwide rabies vaccine was discovered. Today, there are many research and development activities taking place here. Once inside, you can browse the achievements of the Institute, maybe pick up a vaccine or enjoy the views from the hilltop which the Institute occupies.
