Thiruchendur is a town in the district of Toothukudi is supposedly blessed by Lord Murugan and is famous for the Lord Murugan Temple. Renowned with the locals as Thiruchendur Murugan Kovil this temple is one of the adobes of Lord Murugan. Do visit the Panchalamkurichi Fort located at Salikulam which attracts many tourists to its ruins.
