Pangi or Pangi valley located in Chamba district is a famous trekking destination as it provides untouched and unexplored trekking routes. With Zanskar ranges on one side and Pir Panjals on other Pangi proves to be a challenge for trekkers to unravel. Killar is the biggest town and administrative headquarter of Pangi Valley. Treks from Killar to Badarwah, J&K and to Lahaul and Spiti are common ones that attract many trekkers. Roads leading to this remote valley are bad, with only small part of it surfaced. The Pangi valley remains land locked for about 6months due to heavy snow fall so best time to visit is between May to October.
Pangi is 173 km from Chamba via Sach Pass.
