Jagannath Temple in Bareilly is a historical temple of Lord Shiva and one of the more important temples in the town of Bareilly. The temple itself dates back over 200 years and is less popular due to its remote location. Jagannath is said to be “Lord of the Universe”. The icon of Jagannath is a carved wooden stump with eyes and large hands. He is one of the traditional avatars of Vishnu. Worthy followers should make the time to visit this magnificent temple.
