About Bhalu Dam
Bhalu dam is a reservoir built by the British Army officers for water storage purpose. Close to Chaubattia(3km approx.) the trek to the reservoir is a sight to behold but don’t have high expectation from the reservoir as it is all dried up now.
The dam is about an hour trek from Ranikhet and offers splendid views of the Himalayas. It is a very good spot for picnics and camping.
