About Verinag
Verinag is located 28 KMs from Anantnag and 78 Kms from Srinagar and is famous as the source of Jehlum River. Much to admire is the octagonal stone basin around the verinag spring which was built by Jehangir. Also Verinag has a well maintained beautiful garden which is a famous picnic destination for all the locals during summers. One would see a rush of locals during summers thus it is best to visit Verinag during August-October.
