About Shungetser lake (Madhuri Lake)
Shungetser lake (Shonga- Tseir Tso) or Madhuri lake is a picturesque lake which you must visit on your trip to Tawang. The lake is named after the popular Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit as a movie starring her was shot on this location. It is about 42 kms from Tawang town and is also considered a sacred lake for the Buddhists. Enjoy the cool breeze, take a stroll around the lake and sip hot coffee in the cafe next to the lake.
