About Shivrinarayan Temple
The ShivriNarayan temple or Sheorinarayan Temple is a pilgrimage place, which attracts thousands of tourists.The Shiv Narayan temple is in the Champa Janjgir district of Chhatisgarh. It is one of the most sacrosanct places according to Hindu legends and is situated at the confluence of rivers Mahanadi, Jonk and Shivnath. The place is also known as Jagannath Puri of Chhatisgrah due to the presence of the Shivrinarayan temple. Folklore believes that the idol that has been placed in the Jaganath temple has been built here. According to legends, this place is the same place where Lord Rama found Sita and met Shabri. Lord Rama also ate Shabri’s tasted berries here.
