About Matha Kuar
The Matha Kuar or Mathakuar shrine is located close to the very famous Nirvana temple. The temple lies on the banks of the Gandak River. This place is of high importance as Lord Buddha had delivered his Last sermon at this place. In The temple, a beautiful statue made out of black stone has been preserved. The statues portray Lord Buddha settled under the ‘Bodhi Tree’. Buddhist pilgrims all over the year visit the temple.
