About Kohima Zoo
The Kohima Zoological Garden is one of the most important attractions of Kohima and is frequented by tourists. This zoo is habitat to the diverse bird species like the tragopan bird, which is the state bird of Nagaland. You can also see the Wild buffalo, which is known, as Mithun at the zoological park.
The other important species that can be seen at the park is the golden languar. The zoo is also famous for activities like bird watching, nature trips, camping, jungle and adventure seeking tourist. The zoo is situated on the slopes of the beautiful hill, and can be easily reached by tourist buses and cabs.
