About Chushul
Close to Rezang La and Pangong Lake, Chushul is a small town and a valley by same name in the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir. People travelling to Pangong Tso from Tso Moriri pass through Chushul valley. It is vast stretch of mostly barren valley where Kiangs (Himalayan wild ass) roam. The road conditions are not that great and the region is sparsely inhabited. Be sure to carry extra fuel and food and learn the basics of maintenance. Because of its close proximity to Indo-China border, special Inner Line Permit is required to visit this region.
A motorcycle or a SUV is the best mode to travel in this region.
