About Berijam Lake
Berijam Lake was discovered by Colonel Hamilton in the year 1864. It is worth visiting this lake as its sheer beauty enthralls the tourists. It is 21 km from Kodaikanal on the upper regions of Palani Hills. The Tamil Nadu Forest Department has restricted entry into the Berijam Lake area to between 9.30 AM and 3 PM. for tourists. Visitors need permits to enter the area and are issued at the Forestry Department Office in Kodaikanal.
