About Thaneek Pura
Thaneek Pura is a small hill station in Himachal Pradesh near the famous pilgrim center (for Hindus and Sikhs) Chintpurni Shakti Peeth Temple in Himachal Pradesh. As much as Thaneek Pura is known for its natural beauty and views of Himalayan ranges, it is famous for shrines like Guga Zahar Veer Temple, Radha Krishna Temple and Mahiya Sidh temple.
The village is also well known for the fair which is held annually, where wrestling competition where wrestlers from all over India. Fair starts right after Krishna Janmashtmi festival and continues for three days. The Chaat Wala Mod is a major attraction for snack lovers for its famous chaat.
Thaneek Pura is about 90 KMs from and 53 KMs from Una. Amritsar is 160 Kms and Chandigarh is about 200 KMs.
