About Ajodhya Hills

Located about 250 Kms from Kolkata, Ajodhya Hills or Ayodhya Hills are part of Dalma Mountain range between West Bengal and Jharkhand. Legend has it that Lord Rama and Sita had stayed in Ayodhya Hills during their exile.

Ayodhya Hills is great spot for trekking in the deep forests and around lakes in the hills, witness some wildlife, bird-watching and to experience local tribal culture. Ayodhya Hills is perfect place for nature lovers and photographers. Gorshabru and Mayur hills are the two main hills here. It is a popular destination for mountaineers starting up in rock climbing.

Turga Dam and a waterfall formed by River Bamni are nearby places that can be visited. September to March is the best time to visit Ayodhya Hills as there are clear skies and a little chill in the wind.
