About Lachung Temple
Lachung Temple is the oldest Buddhist temple in the Nubra valley. Though a very small temple, it has a lot of historical and religious significance. It is very close to the Diskit monastery. The temple itself is a great piece of art. It represents the beauty and magnificence of the temples of ancient times and has serene environment. The temple houses the statue of Tsong-kha-pa, who was a Tibetan Buddhist philosopher and teacher.
