About Gaurishankar Lake
Bor Talav is the common name given to Gaurishanker Lake, situated in the city of Bhavnagar and spread over an area of 381 hectares. During 1872 this was constructed as a reservoir to meet up water requirements. But now this place has become the most visited tourist destination and picnic spot in the city. Near the lake there is an area meant for entertainment and fun it consists of musical fountains, boat houses, planetarium and much more amidst nature’s creations. Other than that there is a mini forest nestles a variety of flora and fauna in it. This is one of the few forest cities in our country. And inside the forest there are two plant nurseries. On the whole this place is a perfect combination when it comes to providing fun, excitement, adventure, happiness and learning. Being here enjoy nature’s true beauty along with your friends and family.
