About Buddha Temple, Kunjaban
Benuban Vihar is a Buddha Temple and one of the most attractive Buddhist destinations of Tripura, located at Kunjaban area in northern part of Agartala town. This shrine, though small in size, preserves some beautiful idols of Lord Buddha and Bodhisatva. These idols are Burmese in origin. There are grand and dignified celebrations with ritual and religious fervor every year during Buddha Jayanti on the occasion of Budha Purnima.
