Planning your own monsoon outing

Let the photographs inspire an outing, then check conditions for the place and date you actually plan to visit. A beautiful storm photograph is not evidence that a route, beach or viewpoint is safe today.

Check India Meteorological Department forecasts and warnings and its flood and thunderstorm precautions. Follow local closures and avoid going into the open to photograph lightning. Protect your camera from rain, and photograph people with their consent.
