About Churulia
Churulia is a small district situated 15km away from the city of Asansol. The city is named after the freedom fighter and poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, who is also the national poet of Bangladesh. The city has an academy named Nazrul Academy which preserves the medals, manuscripts and other belongings of the poet. On the birth anniversary of the poet every year a full week festival is organized in the city.
