Known sometimes as Sri Lanka’s “Niagara” and “King of waterfalls”, the St. Clair’s Fall has magnificent beauty. This fall is basically made up of two segments- the Big St. Clair and the Small St. Clair. It flows down from a height of 80m and passes through an abandoned tea estate. This is also the widest waterfall in the country, being 50m wide. The fall is clearly visible from the Hatton- Talawakelle road.
The fall is located about 500m away from the road, and you need to walk to reach it. The walking trail is through tea bushes at a steep gradient which makes it an exciting walk. The beauty of the green tea estate is an added advantage!
The St. Clair’s fall is very scenic and is sure to leave you spell-bounded for some
