A classic off beat experience Dipang Lake doesn’t make the oh-so-famous list of places to visit in Pokhara, but is worth giving a try. Filled with lotus’s, has no particular boundaries, its existence is in the most natural form ever, home to very rare fishes and aquatic plants. The lake has been gradually decreasing in size year after year. Some blame it to the carelessness and ignorance of higher authorities towards nature. The fields surrounding the lake produce some rare variety of rice, aquatic plants and a very unique bio diversity. It’s frustrating to see the kind of attention this spot gets because it is almost one of the most beautiful and natural lakes with the right amount of culture surrounding it. Worth a visit, spend a peaceful evening overlooking the lake with friends and family, admiring this forgotten jewel.
