Detailed overview
The Everest of the Maharashtra, Kalsubai Peak (5400 ft.) is the highest peak of the mountain range of Sahyadri. Kalsubai Peak is part of the Kalsubai Harishchandragad Wildlife Sanctuary which spreads from Kalasubai to Harischandragad. On Kalsubai Peak top you can see a small temple of Kalsubai. Ratangad, Alang-Madan-Kulang, Saptashrungi Gad, Dhodap fort, etc. can be spotted from the Kalsubai Peak. Kalsubai Peak is a dream trek of every passionate trekker in Maharashtra to climb it at least once.
Itinerary
Day 1: Overnight journey from Mumbai
- At 10:00 pm you will be meeting our hosts at Chitra Cinema, Dadar.
- You will be departing from Dadar at 11:00 PM.
Day 2: Trek to Kalsubai peak and travel back to Mumbai.
- At around 05:00 am you will be reaching the base village and you may rest for some time.
- Freshen up and have a freshly prepared breakfast and tea.
- You will start your trek at 6:00 am after the briefing and introduction.
- After 4 hours of trek, you will reach the top of Mt. Kalsubai at 10:30 am. You may explore the summit and witness some of the other peaks from the top.
- At around 11:00 am you will start descending and on the way, you may have fun at a stream.
- You will reach the base village at 1:30 pm.
- Lunch will be served to you at the base village at 2:00 pm.
- Post lunch, start the journey back from the village to Mumbai.
- You are expected to reach Mumbai by 9:00 pm to end the tour and you are dropped back at Dadar.
