Detailed Overview

Manali is an evergreen hill station nestled snugly among the hills in Kullu Valley, Himachal Pradesh. This gorgeous town is a must visit for any and everybody. Family men to seasoned trekkers, this is a place for all. Situated by the lovely tanzanite river of the mountains, Beas, this town seems straight out of a fabulous collection of paintings created by a nature-loving artist of Victorian Europe perhaps! A number of temples and monasteries justify the sobriquet “Valley of the Gods”. This place is ancient and new at the same time. It was an eminent stopover for traders of the silk-route but its advent as a major Indian tourist destination can be traced back to the 80s.

KULLU- MANALI- KASOL & MANIKARAN: 03 NIGHTS/ 04 DAYS

DELHI- MANALI (AN OVERNIGHT JOURNEY BY VOLVO): DISTANCE: 520 KM / 12 -15 HOURS: 

ü  On arriving at Delhi R.K ashram metro station in the evening around 5:00 pm on your reporting time with our pre-booked volvo tickets. On departure time board your bus & start your drive toward Manali by volvo on an o/n journey.

ü   It will take around 12-15 hours to reach Manali. On the way halt for dinner & tea break on your own & continuously headed to Manali.

DAY 01: ARRIVING MANALI – CITY TOUR – MANALI

ü  On the next day arriving at Manali bus stop our representative will greet you there, pick you up by cab & transfer to the hotel (earlier check in would be subject to availability, if not possible then provide you fresh up & welcome drink at reception or lobby area).

ü   After having welcome drinks & freshening up at the hotel, you can take a rest up to 2-3 hours & then embark on a local sightseeing tour of Manali. This day you would visit:

v  Sightseeing for the day:

ü   Hadimba Mata Temple

ü   Club House

ü   Van Vihar

ü   Vashishth

ü   Tibetan Monastery

ü  The 450 years old Hadimba Devi Temple built in the tranquil and serene woods is the oldest temple in Manali- Far away from the hustle and bustle of city life, the peaceful Hadimba temple is surrounded by towering deodar trees. It is also known as the Dhoongri Temple, as it is located inside the dhoongri forest.

ü  Tibetan center & monastery: along with the hills and rivers, Manali is also famous for its Tibetan Monasteries as many people from Tibetan origin have settled here. The two prominent monasteries that attract a large number of tourists from all across the world are Gadhan Thekchhokling Gompa and Himalayan Nyingamapa Gompa. These monasteries are a storehouse for Tibetan culture, literature and crafts These monasteries are known for their handicrafts, especially paintings and carpets.

ü  Vashisht temple located at a distance of 3 km from Manali, there is a small village called Vashist. It is situated on the left bank of river Beas towards Rohtang pass.This village is known for its natural hot sulphur springs and temples. One of the most prominent temple is the pyramidal stone temple which is dedicated to sage Vashist. Locals and tourists take a dip in the spring because of its medicinal properties.

ü  In the evening visit club house & the mall Manali & rest time at leisure & stroll at Manali mall road,do not forget having Chinese food at Chopstick restaurant in Manali. Enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel with dinner.

DAY 02: MANALI – SOLANG VALLEY  – MANALI

v  Solang Valley Excursion

ü  Zorbing /Paragliding

This morning after breakfast drive to Solang valley. 

ü  Solang valley: The hub of all sports & adventure activities: Ice skating, snow bike, snow activities etc(during winters only) & Paragliding, Zorbing etc. Located at a distance of 15 km from Manali, Solang Valley lies between Solang village and Beas Kund. It offers a beautiful view of glaciers and snow capped mountains. Since the valley has fine ski slopes, it is a perfect place for skiing. The guest house of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports, Manali is based here. This institute is the venue for winter skiing festival and also offers training in skiing to the tourists. In winter, the valley becomes a skiing paradise with children of all ages slipping and sliding over the fresh white snow. When snow melts in the summer, skiing is replaced by parachuting, zorbing, paragliding and horse riding. For snow lovers, the best time to visit Solang Valley is between the months of December to February.

ü  In the evening back to Manali & enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel with dinner.

ü Note: Rohtang pass & Atal tunnel cost would be additional.

DAY 03: MANALI – KULLU – KASOL & MANIKARAN – MANALI

ü  The next day after breakfast & start your drive toward Parvati valley (Kasol & Manikaran).

ü   On the way visit Kullu village, here you would visit famous Kullu shawl industry, where you can buy an original quality of world famous Kullu shawl, traditional caps (topi) & so many handmade crafts. You can also enjoy adventure activities in Kullu like: paragliding, river rafting in Beas River etc. 

ü  White water Rafting in Kullu valley can be enjoyed in the river Beas throughout the year except during the period from 15-July to 15-September. However rafting is also not done during rains and winters. 

By afternoon we will make your visit to Manikaran, where you will visit:

ü  Manikaran: sacred place for both Hindu & Sikh. In Manikaran you will visit: famous lord Shiva temple, & Gurudwara. This place is well known for its hot spring Sulphur water.

ü  Parvati Valley (Kasol) is the most important remnant of the Hippy trail in India. In the evening back to Manali & enjoy your overnight stay with dinner.

DAY 04: MANALI – DAY AT LEISURE & DELHI DEPARTURE BY VOLVO (AN OVERNIGHT JOURNEY)

ü  This is going to be your last day, so after breakfast check out from the hotel (according to hotel check out policy) we will drop you in the market & you may enjoy your time shopping. 

ü  In the evening 5 pm board your volvo back to Delhi (an overnight journey).
