About

Situated close to the Naphak lake, Siju Cave is India’s third longest cave. It’s made up of limestone and is locally known as Dobakkol cave.  It’s called so due to the huge number of bats and its varieties found in the cave. As this place is full of darkness, it hasn’t been explored. Only a distance of 1 km has been properly survey by the authorities. There is a perpetually flowing water body that flows out of the cave, which nestles a huge variety of aquatic plants and animals. ‘Princess di’s chambers’ is the name of a rock formation (limestone) which attracts huge number of tourists to its amidst every year. The Siju bird sanctuary is another attraction to this place, it homes various migratory birds during the winters. This sanctuary also provides trekking experience for all those adventure lovers. while one is in this place make sure one does not forgot to carry a torch , binoculars , some packed food items and take good care of yourself . Enjoy the experience of being one with these creations of god.
