About Nanded

Nanded, situated in Marathwada Region in the state of Maharashtra, has few but some extraordinary tourist sites and rich cultural and historical background. Nanded City, also known as the Holy City, is nestled on the banks of River Godavari with significant spiritual attractions to explore. It is popularly known for Hazur Sahib, a major pilgrim location for Sikhs as well as for Nanded Fort which enlightens one about the architectural and majestic past of the city. To investigate more about the district one can also visit Mahur, a small town but of great religious importance, filled with Hindu temples of Goddess Renuka and Lord Dattatrey. Along with scenic landscape and a rare assortment of flora and fauna Nanded also has a varied population of almost all kinds of cultures and ethnicities.
