About

The Children’s Art Museum is a five-storied building located to the northeast of the Durbar Marg street in the heart of the city of Kathmandu.  The main objective of the museum is to offer the children and the youngsters with some creative means for expressing themselves as making art as a major part of education for children in school. The motto of the museum is “Bring literacy through art and empower youth of Nepal”. It was founded by a graduate of Gettysburg College named Sneha Shreshtha. The museum has also conducted various programs and activities such as an alphabet workshop and a winter art camp especially for the children. A hand-washing awareness program was also organized in this Museum which saw numerous school children attending it. Moreover the museum encourages children for their own contribution for their culture and promotes self-expression through hands-on-art experience.
