About LACADIVES
Lacadives has come a long way since it’s inception on Kadmat in 1995. Our Lakshadweep chapter covers a 16-year history of some of the most remote and exclusive diving in the country, including a 10-year partnership with CGH-Earth on the beautiful island of Bangaram.
In 2008 we opened a dive center on Havelock in the Andaman Islands, as well as 01 pool-training facilities in Mumbai. We also began partnering with some of the best liveaboard operators in Asia.
Our operations currently include our center at Chidiya Tapu, in the Andaman Islands, 2 mainland operations in Mumbai and Bangalore and a liveaboard network for the best dive destinations in Asia. The Lacadives team has safely trained over 5000 beginners and hosted numerous divers from all parts of the world.

From the moment I arrived, the team demonstrated professionalism, warmth, and genuine passion for diving. Every aspect — from the briefing to the equipment check and underwater guidance — was handled with great care and precision. A special mention goes to Mr. Ravi kanth Ayinapuri whose expertise and calm demeanor made the entire experience truly outstanding. He patiently guided me through every step, ensured I was comfortable at all times, and shared his deep knowledge of marine life and diving techniques. His encouragement and attentiveness helped me feel confident and relaxed throughout the dive. The underwater world was absolutely stunning — crystal-clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and an incredible variety of marine creatures. It was an unforgettable experience that combined adventure, tranquility, and awe. Thank you, Lacadives and Mr. Ravi for making this dive such a memorable and enriching experience. ★★★★★ I was super nervous going into my first dive, but spending an hour with Irfan beforehand made all the difference. He took me through the key skills with so much patience and made me feel confident for our dive the next day. When we went out, it turned out to be one of the most magical experiences of my life. We saw octopus, parrotfish, clownfish, pipefish, angelfish, and so many more. Govinda and Irfan took the time to point out every bit of marine life and even captured fun photos and videos of us along the way. Most importantly, they guided me with such care that I felt completely safe and supported in the water—which has inspired me to keep diving in the future. The whole team was amazing. The boat hands were polite, efficient, and so helpful in getting our gear on and off smoothly. The boat itself was well-stocked with water and bananas, and the atmosphere was fun and relaxed. From start to finish, the Lacadives team was friendly, kind, and respectful. I couldn’t recommend them more highly—thank you for giving me an experience I’ll never forget!

★★★★★ Hello People who are staying with Taj Exotica — Please read this before booking with Lacadives. NOTE: This is a real incident. Hello Everyone, Just because Lacadives operates inside Taj, don’t assume you’ll get Taj-level hospitality. What we experienced was frustrating, careless, and extremely disappointing. It ruined what should have been a once-in-a-lifetime memory. 1. Practice Session (Day Before) • Promised a proper session, but given barely 20 minutes. • When I couldn’t do 1 skills, manager Sameer told me to leave because “it was already 4:45 PM” and I would “start shivering.” • When I said I was fine, he said: “You may be okay, but my diver has to go for dives tomorrow. He has already spent more time in the water than you.” 👉 Seriously? He is a diver — 5 more min. won't harm him. What’s more important: his schedule or the customer’s safety ? Peak of unprofessionalism. 2. Dive Day (Actual Experience) • Our group had 8 participants but only 5 divers → long delays, wasted time, zero efficiency. • Underwater, there was just one photographer for everyone. With divers spread apart, there was no way to capture everything properly. 👉 Can you imagine? The highlight of the dive, dismissed like it was nothing. 3. Trainer (The Only Positive) • My trainer was calm, patient, and professional. • She noticed my discomfort, guided me gently, and helped me enjoy the dive. • Without her, the entire experience would have been unbearable. 4. Dive Duration • We were pulled out after 25 minutes, though they claimed it was 40. • The “3-hour experience” they promise was mostly just standing around and waiting while they tried to manage things poorly. 5. Photography (The Biggest Disappointment) • The photographer missed everything that mattered — no jump shots, no proper underwater coverage. • When I confronted him, he casually said: “Good idea, maybe we should do it, but photographers have many other things to do.” • That response was not only careless — it was dismissive. We paid a premium for memories and ended up with basic, badly shot, meaningless photos. 👉 Not even a single fish we swam with is visible. And this man calls himself the “photography angel.” Angel in what sense? He couldn’t even capture the basics. ⸻ 6. My Husband’s Experience (Unsafe & Careless) • The moment my husband jumped in, they dragged him underwater immediately — no time to adjust at the surface. • When he signaled to come back up, only then they asked: “Are you a non-swimmer?” • They had simply assumed he was a swimmer. 👉 That is not just careless — it’s reckless and unsafe. 7. Pricing vs. Experience • Lacadives charges 3x the normal price just because they sit inside Taj. • But the service, professionalism, and safety are nowhere close to premium. • This is not about money — it’s about trust, safety, and memories. On all three, they failed miserably. A Small Relief Amid all this frustration, one person stood out — Arjit. He was polite, patient, and actually listened. Thanks to him, we got at least some relief in an otherwise horrible experience. Final Verdict This was my first dive — something I should have remembered with joy. Instead, it became one of the most frustrating, mismanaged, and disappointing experiences I’ve ever had. • The photography was a disaster. • The management was careless. • The timings were unreliable. • The safety was questionable. The only saving grace was my trainer and Arjit’s support. Everything else left me frustrated, angry, and disheartened. Please don’t be fooled by the Taj location or their polished social media.
