About Bikat Adventures
Bikat Adventures has always focused on learning based experience in the field of adventure. Adventurous expeditions are basically fun because they give you a thrill of experiencing the unknown but the same unknown causes fear & risk. We strongly believe that learning the skills involved in trekking/mountaineering gives immense confidence and thus reduces the risk or fear. Our primary focus in all our treks is to build the skill level of the participants that can enable them to gain more confidence while exploring the Himalayas. With this endeavour, we implement learning modules on each of our treks so that trekkers from your community go back not just with the awe-inspiring feeling of climbing the mountains but also with a much greater understanding of the skills/knowledge involved.
To implement such learning modules, we have invested extensively in our Expedition Leaders who are specially trained in Rescue procedures from NIM Uttarkashi and in advanced emergency response (First Aid) mechanisms from Hannifl Center. We also ensure best in class camping equipment of rated sleeping bags & and 4-season tents. Even the local guides who we hire are trained in basic first aid (with CPR). We are a certified adventure tour operator by the Ministry of Tourism & Indian Mountaineering Foundation.

★★★★★ I had the privilege of doing the Auden’s Col trek with the 31st May batch with Bikat this year, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences of my life. From the very beginning, everything was planned with great care. The equipment provided was top-notch, ensuring that we were comfortable and safe even in the harshest conditions. The safety protocols were followed diligently, which gave all of us the confidence to push ourselves on such a challenging trail. The trek leaders and support staff were simply outstanding – always approachable, motivating, and highly knowledgeable. They made sure every trekker was comfortable and confident throughout. Special mention to their patience and guidance while crossing technical sections of the Col – it made a huge difference. Another highlight was the food. Despite being in such remote, high-altitude locations, the meals were delicious, nutritious, and well-balanced – a true morale booster after long days of trekking. Overall, this was an unforgettable adventure – equal parts challenging and rewarding – made possible by the fantastic team, excellent planning, and the warm camaraderie of fellow trekkers. A huge thank you to the entire crew for making Auden’s Col such a beautiful and safe experience.
★★★★★ 31st May Batch - Audens Col The team leader was excellent and truly considerate. Pankaj served as our trek leader. As the only woman in the group, he made it a point to check in with me at every opportunity before making decisions about tent arrangements or anything else I needed. Long expeditions require a willingness to give up some comforts; sharing tents and sometimes enduring harsh conditions is just part of the experience. The trek leaders are highly skilled, and they taught us various technical skills. They also provided the necessary equipment for high-altitude treks, ensuring our safety and comfort as much as possible.
★★★★★ Caution for Trekkers: Bali Pass Trek with Bikat Adventures ⚠️ We joined Bikat Adventures for the Bali Pass trek (27.09.2025–05.10.2025), expecting the full traverse as advertised. Unfortunately, our experience was nothing short of mismanagement, misinformation, and unprofessional leadership. 1. Permits Mismanagement & Last-Minute Route Denial Despite the itinerary clearly promising the full Bali Pass traverse to Lower Damini and Janakichatti, the company failed to secure the necessary permits in advance. We were informed only after reaching Sankri that crossing the pass was denied. This abrupt announcement forced us to alter the trek drastically, compressing multiple long and physically demanding sections into just two days. Such last-minute changes compromised both safety and the overall experience. 2. Safety Equipment Negligence On the summit day, there was clear snow on the trail. However, Bikat Adventures did not provide snow spikes or appropriate gear, putting trekkers at risk of slipping and falling. Other groups, such as The Searching Souls, were properly equipped and navigated the same route safely. This demonstrates gross negligence in participant safety. 3. Unprofessional Trek Leadership The assigned trek leader was a short-term hire who openly complained about unpaid salaries and shared demotivating anecdotes about previous participants. Instead of motivating or managing the group professionally, his behavior added stress and anxiety during an already difficult trek. A trekking company is responsible for hiring, training, and paying competent guides — Bikat Adventures failed entirely in this regard. 4. Forest Checkpoint Mismanagement Interactions with forest authorities were poorly handled. Participants were left humiliated and confused, being asked to sign registers and assume sole responsibility without clear guidance. In contrast, other operators like IndiaHikes passed the checkpoint smoothly with proper permits and coordination. This reflects severe lack of preparation and planning. 5. Misleading Communication & False Promises Throughout the trek, communication from Bikat Adventures was vague and misleading. Reasons for the denied route were cited as weather or permit issues, despite clear weather conditions on summit day and evidence that other groups successfully crossed. The company failed to provide timely or transparent updates, leaving participants frustrated and betrayed. 6. Inadequate Compensation The company offered a ₹2,000 credit as compensation for an experience that required months of training, preparation, and financial investment. This token gesture is insulting and unacceptable, considering the physical, emotional, and financial impact endured. 7. Emotional, Physical, and Time Loss This trek was a once-in-a-lifetime goal for both me and my spouse. Due to the company’s mismanagement, lack of planning, and unprofessional conduct, the main objective of crossing Bali Pass was denied entirely. The emotional disappointment, stress, and wasted effort cannot be quantified or replaced. Conclusion: Bikat Adventures’ handling of this trek demonstrates misrepresentation of services, inadequate preparation, poor safety practices, and unprofessional leadership. They have shown no genuine accountability, and their token compensation offer is insulting. This was a rare, high-altitude trek that cannot be repeated, and prospective trekkers should avoid trusting this company for challenging treks. We strongly urge anyone considering high-altitude trekking with Bikat Adventures to reconsider carefully. Such treks require responsibility, safety, and professionalism — qualities that were clearly missing in our experience. They also agreed they are faulty in their arrangement and screen shots attached of mail replies.
★★★★★ We did Nag Tibba Trek with Bikat. Right from the initial stage of approaching them for the trek, Bikat support and guidance has been incredible. Special shout out to trek leader Shiv for constantly pushing us and being a support during the entire journey. Kudos to the Kitchen team for serving us hot and tasty food even under such cold conditions. The entire experience with Bikat is really appreciated. Will choose Bikat for any upcoming events in future.
★★★★★ Did Pangarchulla trek(5-Apr 2025 batch) with Bikat this year. Though I had some issues with the initial booking process, rest of the trek was incredible. Post booking team was very helpful in changing my trek at last minute when the first trek got cancelled. Starting from pickup at right time till the summit, everything went smoothly and all thanks to the Bikat team. The trek lead Pankaj Pokhariya was very helpful and encouraging. He kept us engaged with games every evening. He motivated us till the summit without putting any pressure. Aman, the trek guide was also a great help and took care of everyone. The food was good all along.
