Jeep drive to the Kabbe hills is around 44 Kms from Madikeri and around 22 Kms from Virajpet.The drive traverses through various scenic villages of Coorg passing by wetlands, coffee plantations & overlooking the scenic ranges of the western ghats. Stop by the unexplored water fall called Chelavara (note: playing at the waterfall is strictly prohibited) prior to you reaching the peak for the overwhelming sunset that shall linger in your memories for a long long time. The drive is almost to the peak unless it is a monsoon.
Itinerary:
- Report at Madikeri /Virajpet bus station by 3:00 pm
- Driver cum guide will be ready with his 4 X 4 Jeep at the pickup point
- Head towards Kabbe hills, A picturesque ride all through
- Stop at chelvara falls for a breathtaking view
- Reach The peak of Kabbe hills to witness a stunning panoramic view of the setting sun
