A perfect tour for bird lovers and naturalists. In this tour, you will understand the behavior of birds and spot variety of birds. Birding tour is conducted in Abailu forest which is part of the Brahmagiri wildlife sanctuary

Detailed Overview:

The Western Ghats of India needs no introduction, and any birding trip to this region is a must do here. There are more than 300 to 500 species of birds native to western ghats and most of them can be found in Coorg. Around 40 species of birds migrate to Coorg in Winter. Birds like Malabar Parakeet & Nilgiri Laughing Thrush found only in India can be sighted here! Our birding tour is conducted in Abailu forest which is part of the Brahmagiri wildlife sanctuary and around high-elevation Coffee plantations under expert guidance. We'll stay at Homestay/ camping sites at progressively lower elevations close to the reserve. The tour is ideally suited for beginners who would like to take up birding as a hobby The birding tour will also give you insights of flora and fauna of the region. Indian Mammals like elephants, Bison and Sambar can be spotted walking during the trail.

Itinerary:

Day 1:

• Depart from Bangalore around 6 am.
• Arrive at the campsite 
• After a brief introduction, start the tour and visit coffee plantations
• Spot different variety of birds like white-bellied treepie, Racket-tailed Drongos, Trogons, Chestnut-headed Bee-eater.
• Head back to the camp, freshen up followed by Bonfire & Traditional Dinner 

 Day 2:

• Start the tour early morning, have something light & starts at 6 am to Abylu forest
• Spot Malabar Trogon, Mountain-imperial pigeon, Green-imperial pigeon, White-bellied Treepie, three-toed kingfisher,  Great Hornbill, Malabar Grey Hornbill & many more
• By 11 am you will head back to poaching & have breakfast
• Return to the camp relax, enjoy the tour & disperse
