Hampi Sightseeing Tour from Bangalore Overview

Hampi is located in the east-central part of the South Indian state of Karnataka. It was the centre of the Vijayanagara Empire from the 14th to the 16th centuries AD. Hampi was the world's second-largest medieval-era city after Beijing by the year 1500 CE and probably India's richest city. Hampi, once the center of a flourishing empire, is now dotted by the ruins of temples, palaces, and other structures. Hampi lies on the banks of the Tungabhadra River and has good connectivity from Goa, Secundrabad, and Bangalore.

There is no railway station in Hampi. Although there are plenty of guest houses, homestays, and budget hotels, premium and luxury stay options are limited. Hospet, a nearby town 13 kilometers from Hampi, has more accommodation options. Hyatt Place Hampi is 27 km from Hampi.

Places to visit in Hampi include the Virupaksha Temple and Hampi Bazaar

Hampi is a great destination to spend time exploring and discovering the rich, vibrant history and culture of the region. You can shop around for souvenirs from roadside shops. In terms of food, Hampi is a great location. Thanks to the great number of foreign tourists visiting this place, you can get the best flavors of world cuisine here. The cafes and restaurants on the 'other side of the river' are especially good.

This is the perfect package for a 2-day road trip to Hampi from Bangalore.

I really enjoyed my 2-day visit to Hampi. Everything was right on schedule, the driving from Bangalore to Hampi took approximately 6 hours and the ride was safe and smooth, thanks to the driver, Mohanraj. I was able to visit all the sights suggested on the site, with a few modifications, due to proximities to each other. I would recommend the Tour.
