Detailed Overview

Kaurava Kunda is a twin hill, located near Chikaballapur village, about 75 KM from Bangalore. As fascinating the name is, the 2 joined peaks derive their names from the Pandavas and Kauravas. Its grassy hilltop rises 250 meters high and a flight of several sandy steps lead to the top. Partly midway resides Lord Shiva in a holy shrine amongst the lustrous greenery.

Itinerary

• You are requested to report at the nearest pickup point by 10:30 PM (please refer the meetup information for complete details).
• Meet the guide and fellow travellers at the meeting point and start the journey towards Kaurava Kunda, located near Chikballapur village.
• Reach the base camp by 1:00 AM and right after a small briefing session start the trek. 
• The trek is about 3 KM and approximately takes about 2 hours to reach the top. After reaching, relax by the side of a campfire and rest for a while.
• Witness the sunrise from the top and relax for a while and start descending back to the basecamp.
• Have a sumptuous breakfast on the way back. 
• The group is expected to reach Bangalore by 11:00 AM to end the tour.
