Detailed overview
Laknavaram Cheruvu which is scattered in an area of 10000 acres and stores rainwater like a reservoir. This lake has 13 islands which are spread between the woody green jungles and make the place blissfully serene.The Government tourist department has constructed a hanging bridge connecting the 3 islands recently. This has turned the place into a major tourist destination in this area. The government has a lot of ambitious plans to convert this into a full-fledged tourist spot.
Itinerary
Day 1: Hyderabad - Laknavaram - Night Camping
- You are requested to meet your host at the pick-up points mentioned in the 'Meet-up Information' section at 3:00 to 4:00 PM.
- Relax for a bit post your arrival at Laknavaram.
- Have a healthy dinner and some fun while camping in the tents by 9:00 PM.
Day 2: Laknavaram - Kayaking and Boating - Hyderabad
- On the second day, wake up to an amazing sunrise at 5:00 AM.
- Enjoy boating and kayaking in the freshwater of Lakhnavaram by 12:00 PM.
- Experience short hikes to the nearby divine areas of Ramappa temple, Bhadrakali Temple and Thousand Pillar Temple.
- You would be leaving for Hyderabad at 5:00 PM and arrive at Hyderabad city by 10:00 PM.

Things to bring mandatory:
- A Rucksack/haversack, in other words, a bag you can put all your stuff in and hang on your back, try to keep the bag less than 5 kgs.
- Water - 3 litres mandatory.
- Walking /trekking /sport shoes.
- Torch / Flashlight /headlight.
- 1 track pants/ loose trousers - full length & a T-Shirt and other Toiletries needed.
- Sleeping bags or bedsheets.
Important Instructions:
- No smoking and no alcohol.
- No littering and no pollution of water.
- This is not a luxury trip, but all care has been taken to make your trip comfortable.
- Food will be mostly vegetarian.
- We carry Basic First Aid and if you need anything you can ask the organizers.
- If you feel unwell bring to the notice of the organizers immediately.
- If you can’t swim don't go deep into the water.
