Day-2: Sari to Deoria Tal | 2400 m - 8 kms - 4 hrs
Visit the famous temple at Ukhimath before embarking on the trail through the town, heading east, up the hill to Deoria Tal. The pretty walk through Rhododendrons, takes you to the ridge above the town. Deoria Tal is a small lake with two tea shops around it. The view of the mountain range from here is nothing but gorgeous.
Day-3: Deoria Tal - Chopta (2600 m - 5-6 hrs Trek)
This day you will only have a moderate trek forest and meadows. If you are trekking in the winter months, expect some snow in the shadow areas. There are two camping options, either camp short of Chopta near a stream, or at the meadows below the shops at Chopta.
Day-4: Chopta to Tungnath Temple (3400m) to Chandrashila Peak (3925 m) & return to Chopta (2347 m) -15 kms | 8 hrs
