About Sriperumbudur
Sriperumbudur a town in Kancheepuram District is the birthplace of Saint Ramanuja has a Vigraha i.e. idol made of the five metals installed in a temple dedicated to the saint. It is believed that the milk which is used to cleanse the idol when consumed will cure many diseases. Other famous attractions of this place are the Vallakottai Murugan temple which boasts of the tallest Murgan statue, the Rajiv Gandhi memorial as well as the Madras Motor Sports club.
