About Hanuman Tal
According to a legend about Hanuman Tal, Lord Hanuman put his feet on the ground and made an indention which eventually became a lake. This lake is surrounded by old houses (known as kothis) where the old elite class used to reside. The streets are narrow and there are numerous temples in the area. There are dozens of lakes in the city, but Hanuman Tal is filled with water and is quite beautiful to visit.
