The sanctuary had been established in the year 1975 and is spread over a vast area of 551.55 square kilometers. The Sanctuary has been set up in a hilly terrain covered with thick green forests making it an ideal place for protecting wildlife and exploring it. The sanctuary is covered with Sal trees, thick vegetation and houses more than 500 species of animals. The altitude of the Wildlife Sanctuary ranges from 200 meters to 1000 meters above sea level. The sanctuary is one of the 28 tiger reserves made by the government under the save the project tiger. This one is a necessary visit for an adrenaline rush.
