About Burhanath Temple
The Budhanath temple is located on the banks of river Ganga in Jogsar. The temple attracts devotees from all over the country, as it is the home to the ancient Lord Shiva temple, known as Dudheshwara Mahadev Temple. During august thousands of pilgrims, arrive here to worship the Shivaling with milk, Bel, Gangajal and flowers. The temple is a Siddhipeeth, which adds religious and mythological significance to the tourist place. Another major tourist attraction located close to the temple is the Fathehganj Makbara, which had been built in the 17th century.
