Syzygy Ecosports, founded in Kerala, aims to promote paddlesports activities in India. Syzygy supplies world-class kayaks, canoes, and accessories imported from Europe.

Our paddling centre conveniently sits at the meeting point between the Arabian Sea, the Paravur Lake and the Ithikkara River, allowing for exceptional access to the beautifully sheltered backwaters, open sea and beach.

Syzygy offers canoeing and kayaking experiences suitable for novices to experienced persons. The paddling center is within 25 minutes driving distance from Varkala and one-hour driving distance from Thiruvananthapuram City. The center has ample parking space, shower, WC, lockers, etc.

If you like to explore the hidden beauty of Kerala Backwaters, then you should visit the Paravur Backwaters. The waterbody is relatively cleaner than many others in the state and provides a safer & sheltered paddling environment. The Paravur Backwaters is free from motorboats and other commericial houseboat operators. The waterbody is also easy for beginners since effects of tidal changes are not much influenced due to the spillway shutter system that controls the freshwater discharge into sea during low tide and sea water ingress during high tide.

A trip on the Paravur Backwaters will give you the opportunity to explore the marine life, mangrove forests, islands, indigenous sustainable fishing methods, temple island, sandbar, etc.
