About Singapore

It’s not surprising if people think of Singapore as merely a posh concrete jungle or even worse, a City of Fines. However, they couldn’t be more wrong.

In fact, this so-called concrete jungle ends up being a deliciously eclectic potpourri of cultures. Singapore has many continually evolving shades and tones that never fail to surprise and intrigue the frequent traveller.

With its vibrantly coloured houses, sculpture adorned temples, exotic spice shops and flavoursome curries, Little India rightfully earns its popularity amongst teeming crowds. The neighbouring Arab Street, which basks in the gleam of the Golden Mosque, is famous for its shimmering fabrics & eye-catching rugs. Appealing shrines, immaculate mansions & characteristic fiery red shop-houses indicate Chinatown’s retained authenticity.

Solemn respects are paid to the martyrs at Kranji War Memorial. For a better insight of the nation’s history, one can drop by at the National Museum.

The Botanic Gardens allow visitors to hone their relationship with nature. The lush greenery, picturesque orchids and placid environment only encourage one to do so. Ethereal supertrees and grand domes lure travellers to witness nature at its best at Gardens by the Bay. One can befriend the majestic animals at the Singapore Zoo & mingle with feathered friends at Jurong Bird Park.

Singapore truly comes alive at night. Proof? The Marina Bay Nightline. To explore the dark wilderness, one can hop on a Night Safari tram! The Duck Tour, gives an in-depth city tour on land and water! It is definitely the best way to see the iconic Merlion Park. For a bird’s eye view of the city, Singapore Flyer is the place to be.

The cheerful scenes at Universal Studios and Sentosa Island, undoubtedly unleash one’s inner child.

Excited to visit Singapore? Definitely. After all, seeing is believing.

Taxis could prove costly in Singapore. Use unlimited public transport at just 10 SGD per day for tourists with a Singapore Tourist Pass.

Like most things, food isn’t cheap in Singapore. Save money on food by eating in Little India, Chinatown, or the street food throughout the town.
